THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The job holder will be part of the Order to Cash team in Zalando SE.
As a Credit Risk Officer, you will play a vital role in the efficient and effective collection of outstanding debts owed to our company.
The job holder will be mitigating credit risk via detailed analysis on the B2B customer portfolio based on business information and private company data provided by an external analytics company. Based on this data the job holder will negotiate payment plans or settlements with customers in accordance with company policies and regulations.
This will be in close alignment with the legal department and thus basic legal knowledge is a big plus.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
- You will work in highly motivated team of O2C professionals
- Key tasks will be taking care of payment plans or settlements with customers in accordance with company policies and regulations
- We support and encourage (new) initiatives, fresh ideas and meaningful insights to add value and suggest improvement recommendations to our B2B collections team.
- Be a go-to person for Credit Risk end-to-end for our internal Legal colleagues and our external analytics partners.
- Challenge and support them with your high quality, analytical insights in the core decision processes.
- Actively taking part in strategic decisions related to Credit Risk and Credit Limits.
- Help define the parameters in the FSCM tool.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
- A university degree in economics or postgraduate studies in finance/accounting
- 4+ years of financial experience (preferably in Credit Risk analysis for the position)
- Excellent judgement skills with independent decision making ability
- Excellent research and analytical skills, understanding credit risk, and focus on finding solutions
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German language skills are a plus.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in working with operating systems (knowledge of SAP Fi, FI-CA and FSCM will be an additional asset)
- Kindness, teamplay, empathy, and a customer-centric approach.
