Security Operations Monitor

Work Schedule: Full-time - 40 hours per week

Salary: € 33,118 annual base salary. An additional 20.2% will be added to the listed Locally Employed (LE) Staff salary for allowances and premiums. You will receive a vacation bonus at 8.2 percent of base pay, a bonus for duty-free days at 3.67 percent of base pay and a year-end bonus at 8.33 percent of base pay. For this FSN-04 position this equates to a total remuneration of € 39,807 per annum based on a 40-hour work week.

Duration Appointment: Initial contract of one year, includes a one-month probationary period, with view to extension.

DUTIES

Basic function of position: The Security Operations Monitor provides security for U.S. personnel and facilities, focused on the early detection and reaction to threats. The job holder provides emergency responses as necessary and makes verbal and written reports on findings to the responsible supervisory security personnel.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of military, policy, or private experience in the field of security is required.

Education: Completion of high school is required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EVALUATIONS

Language Requirements: Level II (limited) English reading/speaking/writing is required. Level III (good working knowledge) Dutch reading/speaking/writing is required. This may be tested.

Job knowledge: Knowledge of surveillance techniques, familiarity with local pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns and habits, awareness of cultural norms and customs is required. The position requires good working knowledge of the host city's geography and general culture.

Skills and Abilities: Must be skilled in the use of communications equipment, cameras, and basic information technology systems. Must provide detailed oral reports. Must work independently and adapt to a wide range of threat and environmental conditions. Must have good observation skills.

Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass security certification and may be required to obtain a Certificate of Conduct for Natural Persons (VOG) from the Ministry of Safety and Justice of the Netherlands.
