He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Auckland Council is seeking a Head of Strategy & Architecture to lead its Strategy & Architecture team. In this role, you will be responsible for the ICT architecture and strategy design function and practice, supporting the creation of the Council's business strategy, and bringing thought leadership and a future focus from a data, digital, and technology lens. You will provide strategic and responsive advice to the General Manager Technology and ICT Lead team, capture and prioritize market and environmental trends, business strategies and objectives, and provide governance and management of Architecture. You will also lead the evaluation of emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization
He kōrero mōu: About you
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree qualification in Business Management, Computer Science, or Information Technology, along with a minimum of 15 years' experience as a senior technology expert or business leader or executive, or equivalent experience in various aspects of technology, planning, and delivery. You should have the ability to think strategically and link strategy to practical implementation plans, balance strategic thought with tactical action and responsiveness, and understand business services, value streams, and operational structures and processes. Strong communication, relationship building, and analytical skills are a must.
